This NY Times article on gold farming is making the rounds on the blogosphere today. It's penned by Julian Dibbell who's researched the subject extensively. Here's a lecture of his on the subject from back in March. Also, the Freakonomics blog has a post on the subject that says maybe things aren't all that bad for the gold farmer.
